After the typhoon

• Do not return to damaged buildings right away, check structural safety first.
• Watch out for broken wires, damaged walls, fallen trees and secondary disasters (flash floods, mudslides, landslides).
• Disinfect drinking water and food to prevent infectious diseases; throw away spoiled food.
• Help clean up debris, cooperate with disaster relief work.
• Report hidden dangers to the relevant departments in a timely manner.
• Be aware of continuous heavy rain and follow subsequent weather warnings.

When the typhoon is passing (during the typhoon)

• Stay indoors, away from windows, glass walls and balconies. Do not go sightseeing, fishing, swimming or walking along the coast/sea walls.
• Turn off unnecessary electricity and gas to avoid short-circuit fires or gas leaks.
• Do not wade through flooded roads or underground passages — hidden deep water, electric leakage and debris are very dangerous.
• Do not take shelter under big trees, billboards, streetlights or unstable buildings.
• If you are trapped, call emergency numbers (110 for police, 119 for fire rescue, 120 for medical help) and send clear location information.
• Do not drive through heavily flooded roads; pull over safely and wait for rescue if trapped in a car.

• Do not go outside, especially near sea walls, rivers, trees, billboards, scaffolding and power poles
• Stay away from windows and glass walls; stay in inner rooms
• Do not swim, fish, or go to the beach; avoid crossing flooded roads or underpasses
